UK Male Strip Show Troupes, Revues, Ladies Nights Comparison and Review
There are only a handful of male stripper troupes that tour UK cities and dance in theatres and concert halls; such as Magic Mike live, Adonis Cabaret and Forbidden nights. Typically these are performances you can take mainstream and mature audiences to. Often you can meet and greet the guys and get pictures with the group after the show.
Bari Bacco who founded one of the first strip shows in 1987 “the first person in UK to give women of all ages eye candy by unleashing handsome hunks with broad masculine torsos to thousands of screaming women.” It was Britian’s first answer for The Chippendales. He heralded it a supergroup of really gifted dancers. It was born after Barry Bacco was inspired by a 1985 Levi’s advert of a man stripping off in a laundrette. He piloted the show in small clubs in London before taking it to large theatres across the nation and abroad. Barry added ‘The boys were invited on to put the sparkle into that show, but it was a very safe show; we never had full-frontal nudity. It was all about what you don’t see, not what you do.’
